Technology is passing me by.

Have you ever wondered how fast time is passing us by? Or how technology has past us baby boomers by? I realized this when a 8 year old neighbor came over and fixed my lap top. He cleaned up all the viruses and removed the loads of junk files that looked like the home of a hoarder. Now my notebook is more like a souped up sports car, screeching its tires at a green light when I click the keys. When I was in school, the greatest leap of technology was going from a slide rule to the calculator. And when pong hit the scene, wow! Hours of hypnotizing fun watching a blip bouncing around the screen. We've been left to our own devices to try and figure out the new wave of gizmo's that hit the scene every day. Even the instructions to these new electronic wonders leave us more confused then when we first began using the simple answering machine to our land line phones. Now the phone we carry on our belt is a camera, video cam, personal computer, radio, and more than I even know how to name. I still can remember going from the simple hammer to the high powered nail gun. What was wrong with the hammer. It was cheap, simple, and easy to use. It came with no instructions and needed no costly accessories. I know technology has improved our way of life today, and has cut in half the time it took do what it is we are doing. My only question is, if technology saves us time, why are we more impatience than before? Why are we in such a hurry? It goes back to my first question. Have you ever wondered how fast time is passing us by? Just something to think about to pass the time.
